Follow the Yellow Brick Road.....

The kids were....well, I'll let you see! They were all so cute. We did a little trick-or-treating and got ALOT of candy. They had fun and it was such a beautiful night. No jackets or gloves or freezing our tails off this year it was a beautiful night. Aren't they CUTE!

Happy Birthday Scott!

Scott's birthday was on the 29th, he turned 34. Yes, I am older than him, by 5 months, and he never lets me forget it! My mom watched the kids and we FINALLY went on a date to the Melting Pot! I've always wanted to go (sounds more like my birthday right!), so he chose to go there for diner. (We totally had a coupon and it expired three days from his birthday, so it was our only chance of going!) Anyway, we had SO much fun. We had great conversation, good food and GREAT dessert. We had yummy chocolate marshmallow fondue and dipped strawberries, cheesecake, bannanas and rice krispies in it. SO good. Happy Birthday Sweetheart! I hope your day was as AWESOME as you are!

Their Laughter

The kids and I are home this morning while daddy is on camera duty at church. We all went together as a family last night. It made for a nice lazy morning this morning. I showered and as I'm getting ready I hear the sounds of all three of my kiddo's laughter. It's the sweetest sound and I love it. They have been playing all morning together just the three of them. Cracking each other up, making silly faces, saying silly things, it's truly priceless. These moments are not necessarily rare at my house, but when they happen I try to really cherish it. They fight like all siblings, they hit, pinch, and yes even punch, but today they are the best of friends and I love that it is all three of them, not just the girls as sisters, but they've gathered their brother and are having the best of times. I only pray that as they grow they will always make time for this, to be silly and play goofy games all together, just the three of them! If you haven't read Power of a Praying Parent, I encourage you to do so. It helps you to pray so specifically for your children and one of the prayers is that they will be friends. I have not been good at praying this lately, but I plan I have in the past, and will start again. I love how the book shows you how much power your prayers have as your child's prayer warrior.

Sorry I've been a bad blogger, life has certainly happened here. We have been busy with school and company and finally moving my mom and Bob here. So, I will try and play some catch-up in the next few weeks!
